I’ve felt in a rut for a while now, maybe it’s the 64″ of snow outside, the endless days of grey or maybe it’s just like anything, you get comfortable with doing something one way so changing it seems like a waste. The problem is when you’re a photographer you should be changing it, you should be looking for ways to make the same look different. I mean let’s face it, how many ways can you photograph a belly and make it look different. Last winter I had the perfect plan and the perfect participant ready and willing to do some fun pictures in the snow… mother nature had other plans, no snow. Fast forward a year and I’m still
wanting needing to capture some fun pregnancy pictures in the snow, plus I just need to stretch my creativeness a bit, for me, I need something outside of the usual. This time of year almost all of my sessions are studio sessions, nobody wants to battle the bitter cold and endless piles of snow. That is until these two lovely ladies decided to brave the elements for me. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t freezing out, but it wasn’t the warmest of days either. There were things I would have liked to do, but knowing how cold I was getting I wasn’t about to subject these mamas to more than I was willing to tolerate. Two beautiful women, same day, one in the morning and one near sunset, 2 completely different looks. A very special thanks to Jess and Kim for putting up with my requests and the weather.
