So it turns out when your PC takes a fatal dump and you make the move to a Mac because you can’t possibly imagine spending another second dealing with the viruses and malware that continually attack your PC, time doesn’t stand still… Honestly I don’t know why I am surprised by the amount of time it has taken to first get reacquainted with my old friend the Mac and second to set up all of the programs I use on a daily basis. The good news out of all of this is after the first crash I quickly learned to back-up nearly everything so very little was lost in the crash… the bad news is my just turned 2 year old PC is toast :(. The Computer Doctor said the system was toast but I should be able to reformat the drives and still have a working system… so far I’m not having any luck with that either. Computers are great when they work, and momentarily life altering when they don’t… honestly some days I do think about going to back to good ‘ole fashion film. While it wouldn’t mean I’d be computer free, it would mean the bulk of my business wouldn’t rely so much on one. Oh well, c’est la vie!
I have two clients that have waited so very patiently for these the last 2 weeks. While they’ve already seen their entire gallery I had promised them both images would be going up on the blog. Enjoy!
First up is little Katherine. I was very fortunate to be able to photograph Katherine, you see Katherine has an aunt that is a very talented photographer. Aunty Mo normally does all the family photography but this year due to having just had baby number 4 plus being in the middle of building a new house and living in a condo because their other house sold it was just a bit much so she very kindly told Katherine’s mommy to call me (thanks Mo!). I was excited to have Katherine, her mommy and big brother come over to enjoy some time in front of the camera. We had a fun hour or so taking lots of pictures and chasing little K around. Having figured out the full speed in which her legs would take her this was a bit of a challenge, but in the end I think between her mommy and me we managed to get her to sit semi still enough to pull out some crazy cute pictures.
Katie, her husband and adorable little guy came in for some maternity portraits. Katie is having her baby in just 2 short weeks and I can’t wait! I will be on vacation 2 days after Katie has the baby, in order to capture baby as early as possible I’ll be making a run up to the hospital to capture some quick images of baby the day after birth, then right when I get back from vacation we’ll be doing a full newborn session. I’m so excited for this little one to arrive.
