Liam ~ WI newborn portraits

I know I say this all  the time, but I really do have the best clients in the world.  Little Liam came for his first portrait session at just 7 days old.  It really is much easier to photograph a new baby within the first several days, but I understand how difficult it can be to pack up (particularly on cold Wisconsin days) and bring a brand new baby in.  Thankfully Liam’s mommy was very accommodating to my request to bring him as early as possible (did I mention she has a 2 year old and a 4 year old AND lives an hour away).  I had a fantastic morning taking portraits of little Liam and his entire family.  I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph this family several times before which meant being able to sit around and chat like old friends while we waited for Liam to drift off into blissful newborn sleep.  I think we caught everything we could that day, family portraits, portraits with mom, portraits with dad and portraits with big brother and sister.  It does take time for these things to unfold but I have never had a parent complain that it wasn’t worth it.

One last little note about Liam and his family.  They very generously nominated last years Giving is Awesome chosen family.  For their efforts to make another family’s holiday a bit brighter they were  gifted a portrait session and gift album.  Again this year I will be gifting the person that nominates the chosen family a portrait session and portrait gifts.  Please take the time to think of those that may need a bit extra this holiday season, send me a quick email telling me about the person/family and their current circumstances.  I would love to be able to give you and a family in need portraits that can be treasured for a life time and beyond.

Maureen Hartjes How are you? I LOVE your blog! Looks GREAT! You do such a good job on your Newborns too!
